Would it make sense to move all the programs using Park Street over to East School and shut down Park Street?
ReplyDeleteWhy not? Everyone would welcome yet another delay in either buildings fate.
DeleteI agree with Chuck. Then perhaps Springfield could follow Windsor's plan when they closed their high school. They tore down the majority of the building, leaving the gym area and a few surrounding office spaces. It would be an ideal way to have the Springfield Rec. Department make use of the Park Street gym.
DeleteConsidering it cost a hundred thousand plus a year to heat park street!
ReplyDeleteDon't quite understand why this whole thing has to swirl around Yesman. Did he not have it listed previously? To what end. Maybe someone else could do a better job. Someone without an axe to grind. Makes you wonder if this is just more lip service. East School and Park Street were supposed to gone long ago. the voters of Springfield spoke, but apparently no one within the school board is listening. I know non binding referendum. Pissing tax dollars down an endless rabbit hole.
ReplyDeleteRaze them both!
