The organizers of "Wet Paint Live" are pleased to announce that the Claremont Savings Bank is one of the sponsors of Springfield's first outdoor painting event for artists. Watercolorists, pastelists, oil and acrylic painters of all ages and levels are invited to paint the scenic beauty of the Black River, historic factory buildings and downtown landmarks of Springfield on Saturday, Oct. 10. "The goal of the event is to bring artists and art lovers to the community and to celebrate the joy of Plein Air (outdoor) painting." said Nancy Lanoue, planning committee member. She added that "a nominal fee of $15 will help defray the cost of the event along with the help of donations." The mail-in artist registration form is downloadable by visiting www.wplvermont.com. "Wet Paint Live" will be the focus of a two-week display at the Springfield branch bank Aug.10 to Aug. 21, where registration forms will also be available.
