Holly E. Aldrich
AGE: 48
Springfield, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Dating back to at least December of 2014, the Springfield Police Department and other area agencies have been receiving reports that a female subject identified as Holly E. Aldrich (DOB: 12/20/66) has allegedly been scamming people out of money.
The reports indicate that she has been engaging in this behavior since as early as the Fall of 2013 and as recently as May 4, 2015.
The general nature of her scam is that she seeks out people that she knows or has some sort of social connection with, such as church members or family members.
Officers have taken 6 such cases including one in which she also allegedly passed a forged check to pay back one of the victims.
Holly is reportedly out of the area and an arrest warrant is requested.

May 15

Officer's responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian around 5 p.m. this evening in the Springfield Plaza in front of Shaws.
Although transported to the hospital for evaluation, no serious injuries were reported.
It appears the accident occurred as a vehicle entering into the plaza parallel to the storefront stopped for a pedestrian, and a vehicle awaiting exit from a parking row thought they were stopped to allow them to exit, upon exiting the parking row they then struck the pedestrian who was crossing.
No criminal action taken.




The Chief and LT from Springfield PD went to execute the arrest warrant on Nick Turco today. The family was uncooperative and demanded that they leave the property. Turco continues to be wanted on the active arrest warrant.On April 3rd an active Arrest Warrant was issued for Nicholas J Turco, age 35, formerly of the Mount Holly area. Turco is sought in connection with the purse snatching that occurred outside the South Street Market and subsequent forgery of checks. 
The Warrant consists of misdemeanor charges of Petit Larceny $900 or less; False Pretenses or False Tokens $900 or Less; and Vehicle Operation following License Suspension. The Warrant also includes felony charges of Forgery-Utter/Publish an Instrument x3.
Bail on this warrant has been set at $10,000. Anyone knowing where Turco may be located is urged to contact the PD at 802-885-2113.

Protas was allegedly operating a motor vehicle with her driver's license suspended.
Protas was issued a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court - Criminal Division on July 7, 2015

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Defendant was arrested for allegedly failing to stop his motorcycle when signaled to do so.
Gibson was issued a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court - Criminal Division on June 30, 2015

Fugitive From Justice
Rodney Stone
Age: 31
Springfield VT
On this date, responding to information from an outside source that the subject had an active warrant, officers located Rodney Stone of Springfield walking down River Street. A check of Stone for active wants and warrants indicated that Stone had an extraditable warrant issued for his arrest out of NH for felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle. 
Confirmation of the extradition was obtained and Stone was taken into custody without incident.
Stone was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or surety and will be arraigned on Thursday, May 14 in Windsor Superior Court - Criminal Division.




Operating After Suspension or Revocation of License

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 04/17/2015 at approximately 2242 hours an officer observed a vehicle driving on River Street with a defective brake light. Upon conducting a motor vehicle stop it was discovered that the operator's privilege to drive in Vermont was criminally suspended.
Citation issued to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court 06/02/2015
