Market Madness returns September 5th

The fourth annual downtown Springfield Market Madness event will be held this coming Saturday.

Video: Market Madness

Late, when things were winding down;
But still some madness to be found.

Maybe an old fashioned Street Fair is just what’s needed to celebrate and honor the close of a fabulous Vermont Summer. Low key, easy fun that doesn’t involve reservations, packing a bag, planes or trains. Come be a “local” for a day, we want to meet you.

The tagline for our street fair is FRESH – LOCAL – ARTSY – FUN! Something for everyone, family oriented, new memories waiting for you.

We aim to have our event conjure all that one imagines for Summer in Vermont, something like when you make a nice sauce with herbs and wine, then let it simmer down to a taste that turns a respectable meal into a great and memorable sensation.

Local brew tent, BBQ, music all around and 40-50 vendors to answer all or most of what you’re looking for (and some that you didn’t realize you had to have) – ranging from farmer’s market staples, fresh and local meats, produce, baked goods, arts & crafts, jewelry, knitted and hand sewn items, together with fun sand art for the kids (young and old), photo booth, ice cream, nostalgic signs, t-shirts, cotton candy, fried dough …more. Antique tractors, classic cars, kid’s corner games, facepainting, youth vendors, obstacle course and performer Troy Wunderle of Circus Smirkus fame.

For information on how you can join in by becoming a vendor, volunteer or a sponsor for this fun-filled end of summer event, contact Carol Lighthall at the Springfield On The Move Office, 6 Valley Street, Springfield, Vermont 802-885-1527 or som@vermontel.net.
