    No reason why it shouldn't serve as a resource for science field trips, the way Springweather and the reservoir are.

  2. An otherwise pleasant area of the river blighted by this town owned eyesore. I heard there is a meth lab on it. This is what we we pay taxes for? Use some of the blighted property $100,000.00 fund and remove it. It is,afterall, one of the first things people see when they drive into town. Maybe, just maybe, my tax bill will decrease and my property value will increase as well.

    1. Remove the island or the meth lab. I think those meth labs do a lot of 'cooking'; the island seems like a poor place for one. Removing the island seems like a flashback to the WPA, except that the WPA isn't around to pay for it.

    Develop it as Simpsons Island! Move the statuary out of the CofC office, put in a paddle board landing...
