Several cars slid off the road with at least one rollover on Route 4 East in Rutland Town just before noon on Tuesday.
The Vermont State Police issued a press release asking drivers to please be advised the roads in the area of Route 4 in Rutland are extremely icy.
“There are several vehicles off the roadway. Use caution if you need to travel in the area,” the release said.
As of 12:45 p.m. a reporter at the scene said there are at least five cars off the road on either side of Route 4.
In Springfield, reports of icy roads, were also rampant.
A three-car motor vehicle crash was reported around 12:30 p.m. on Route 103 in Chester right at the corner with Cavendish Gulf Road.
At 12:15 p.m. a rollover was reported just south of Exit 5 southbound and another accident with unknown injuries on the opposite side of the road.
