Police log

Recent arrests and incidents logged by the Springfield Police Department.

On January 29, 2016 at approximately 2:48 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Olive Street to meet with a victim who had allegedly been assaulted while walking home from school. Through the officer's investigation, it was determined that Jarred Pramataris allegedly assaulted the victim by striking him 3 times in the head. Pramataris was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 29th to answer to the alleged offense of Simple Assault.



On February 4th at approximately 9:16 a.m. officers were dispatched to 130 Paddock Road for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a subject outside who was crying and reported that she was eating breakfast and became engaged in a verbal argument with Sarah Daniels and that Daniels allegedly assaulted her.

Daniels was transported to the PD for processing and subsequently issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on February 9th to answer to the alleged charge of Domestic Assault. On September 15, 2015, Daniell Zee, 54, of Hartford VT, allegedly entered the apartment of one of his tenants without permission and without prior notification.

Police attempted contact with Zee who refused to provide himself for arrest. A deal was worked out with Zee's lawyer and the Windsor County States Attorney for Zee's lawyer to accept service on Zee's behalf to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 22nd to answer to the allegations of Unlawful Trespass.



On February 7, 2016, Officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver.

The vehicle was located and indicators of impaired operation were seen. The driver, Joanne Farren, 55, of Springfield was found to be allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Farren had 2 prior DUI convictions and refused to provide an evidentiary breath sample.

Farren was subsequently lodged at SSCF in lieu of $2500 bail and was arraigned on February 8th in Windsor County Criminal Court on alleged charges of DUI #3

Fraudulent use of a Credit Card

Katie M. Perkins
AGE: 29
Ludlow, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: An investigation into the use of a stolen debit card revealed that Katie M. Perkins allegedly withdrew funds and made debit purchases that were not authorized on the victim's debit card.

Perkins was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 4/5/16 to answer to the alleged charges

Nicholas Putnam
AGE: 31
Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Putnam was arrested on allegedly three arrest warrants. Putnam was subsequently lodged at SSCF in lieu of $11,000 cash/surety bail.

Domestic Assault
Interference W/ Access To Emergency Services

Janet Williams
AGE: 47
Springfield, Vermont

On 02/20/2016 Officers responded to a report of an alleged domestic in progress.

Upon further investigation, Officers determined that Janet Williams had allegedly assaulted the victim in the home and knocked the phone out of his hand while he attempted to call the police.

Williams was arrested for the alleged Domestic Assault and Interference with Access to Emergency Services.

Williams was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and then was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility where she was lodged on $1,500 bail.

False Info to a Law Enforcement Officer
Violation Conditions of Release

Jennifer Dupuis
AGE: 30
Bellows Falls, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Dupuis was stopped for speeding and allegedly gave a false name. She also allegedly was DLS-C and violating her Conditions of Release by driving a motor vehicle.

Dupuis was processed and cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on April 5, 2016.



February 24, 2016

Travis Duffy
AGE: 33
Perkinsville, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officer's heard a commotion in the rear parking lot of the polic department and discovered two men arguing. One male was identified as Duffy who had current Conditions of Release not to consume or possess alcohol. Duffy was alleged to have a can of Four Loko beer and had consumed alcohol.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Springfield Police were dispatched to Spencer Hollow Rd. in Springfield, VT for a report of a vehicle off the road. Upon investigation, Matthew J. Baran was cited into Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit for alledged Criminal DLS and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Baran was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court Criminal Division on April 19, 2016

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Springfield Police were dispatched to Clinton St. in Springfield, VT for a report of a vehicle being driven aggressively. Upon investigation, Matthew Baran was cited into Windsor Superior Court-Criminal Division for alleged DUI refusal, Negligent Operation, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Mischief, Assault on LEO and Violation of Conditions of Release. Baran was subsequently lodged at SSCF in lieu of $2500 bail and was arraigned on February 26, 2016.



03/05/2016

Prohibited Acts

Richard A Parry
AGE: 67
Springfield, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 02/04/2016 a female subject came to the Springfield Police Department to report that a male subject was allegedly soliciting her for sexual acts. Through investigation it was determined that Richard Parry was allegedly soliciting the victim.

On 03/05/2016 Richard turned himself in to the Springfield Police Department. Richard was issued a citation for Prohibited Acts to appear at a later date and was released.

March 8, 2016

Arrest on Warrant

David Greenier
AGE: 23
Ludlow, VT

On March 8th at approximately 0400 hours we received information from Ludlow Police Department that David Greenier allegedly had an active warrant for his arrest and was on his way to Springfield. Greenier was located and arrested on the active warrant; processed at the Springfield PD; and subsequently lodgedwithout issue at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000.00 bail.



March 7, 2016

Possession of Heroin

Melissa Clarke
AGE: 31
Charlestown NH

On March 7th at approximately 2130 hours, officers responded to a BOL on Clinton Street for a report of erratic operation. Investigation revealed Clarke was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and in possession of heroin.

Clarke was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 22, 2016 to answer to the allegations.

Fugitive From Justice

Keith Gokey
AGE: 49
Springfield VT

On March 7th, officers responded to an address in Springfield where they made contact with Keith Gokey. Gokey was allegedly wanted in New Hampshire for failure to appear at a court proceeding reference a sex offender registry violation.

Gokey was taken into custody without incident and lodged at SSCF in lieu of $15,000 bail and was subsequently arraigned on March 8th at Windsor County Criminal Court.
