Vermont Business Magazine Reynolds and Son, Inc (www.reynoldsandson.com (link is external)), Vermont’s largest privately-owned industrial supply company, announced the acquisition of Plimpton Tool Company, Inc, of Springfield, Vermont. The transaction was officially concluded on August 30, 2016. Reynolds and Son President and owner Todd Goulette commented “This acquisition will add 40 new cutting tool manufacturers to our existing cutting tool category. This, in combination with our inventory management business approach, will enhance our product and service offering to all our customers.”
The acquisition adds depth to Reynolds and Son’s Industrial Sales Division, complementing its Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) and Vending Solutions programs. Combined with its Compressed Air and Fire Service Divisions; and special services such as lifting and rigging expertise and power tool repair, the purchase of Plimpton Tool strengthens Reynold’s total product and service offerings.
Reynolds and Son, Inc was founded in 1874 and is headquartered in South Barre, Vermont. Reynolds and Son operates offices in Rutland and in Colchester, and serves all of Vermont, northern New York and western New Hampshire.
