Springfield Chamber to host candidates night
SPRINGFIELD — On Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Hartness House Inn the Springfield Chamber of Commerce is hosting a public forum for the Windsor 3-2 State House District.
Democrat incumbents Alice Emmons and Bob Forguites will be joined by Republicans Scott Frye and Dennis Pine and Independent George McNaughton.
This public question-and-answer session will be aired on local cable channel by SAPA-TV.
The Hartness House Inn has graciously offered to open their tavern at 6 p.m. before the forum and afterwards for refreshments and informal conversation with the candidates.
“This event is an example of how we serve the entire region, not just our members. We want to give both the businesses and people of Springfield a better sense of the people who want to represent them,” said Chamber Executive Director Caitlin Christiana.
For more information, contact the Chamber office at (802) 885-2779 or springfieldrcoc@vermontel.net.
