Okay, so how long will the $180,000 ensure that Konrad Prefab stays in Springfield? B&J's got pulled out in a megacorporation buyout. We should have in place the system that will ensure the community stakeholders-- workers, families, schools, churches, merchants and students-- have a say in preventing a repeat of the rape of Precision Valley (which boosted our property taxes 247% in 1983). Contrary to Milton Friedman's assertion, shareholders are not the only ones who are supposed to benefit from commerce.

One of the difficulties about doing this is that the town charter task force is focused on meeting a calendar deadline, so what would it take to address this?
