Recent incidents and arrests logged by the Springfield Police Department.



Investigating Officer: Officer Prince
Case Number: 17SF000324
Date of Arrests: 01/16/2017

INCIDENT: On 01/16/2017 at approximately 0600 hours members of the Springfield Police Department executed a search warrant at 19 Pine Street.

Possession of Regulated Drugs

DEFENDANT: David Fuller, 49, Springfield, Vermont

David Fuller was arrested for Possession of Regulated Drugs. Fuller was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

Possession of Heroin
Violation of Conditions of Release

DEFENDANT: Brandon Heist, 19, Springfield, VT

Brandon Heist was arrested for Possession of Heroin and Violation of Conditions of Release. Heist was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

Fuller & Heist were issued citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 14th to answer to their respective alleged charges.

Investigating Officer: Officer Prince
Case Number: 17SF000182
Date of Arrest: January 9, 2017

DEFENDANT: Jason Supry, 39, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 01/09/2017 at approximately 2012 hours Officer Prince observed a vehicle parked in a vacant parking lot off of Park Street. The vehicle was running with all of its lights off.

Following a brief investigation, Jason Supry was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected heroin. Supry was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court to answer to the alleged charge of Possession of Heroin on February 21st.



2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault

Case Number 17SF000296
Date of Arrest: January 14, 2017

DEFENDANT: Bryan Cobb, 54, Springfield, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 01/14/2017 Officers responded to a residence for a report of an argument between a father and a daughter. Following an investigation, Bryan Cobb was arrested for 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault.

Cobb was processed at the Springfield Police Department and was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on January 17th to answer to the alleged charge of 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault.

Case Number: 17SF000279
Date of Arrest: January 13, 2017
DEFENDANT: Daniel W. Keirns, 61, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: A Caller reported an erratic operator who they followed to a residence on River Street.

In speaking with the male, I identified him as Daniel W. Keirns of Springfield, VT. It was learned that his VT driver's license is currently under suspension.

Keirns was placed under arrest for suspected DUI and driving on a suspended license. Keirns was processed and released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on January 31st to answer to the charges of DUI second and criminal driving after license suspension.

Investigating Officer: Cpl. Gilderdale
Case Number: 17SF000280
Date of Arrest: January 13, 2017

DEFENDANT: Lucas Moore, 28, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 13, 2017 Officers were called to Union Street for a report of an intoxicated male subject being locked out of his apartment by his female fiance, and that there were two children inside the apartment. The male was screaming and hollering causing a disturbance.

Upon arrival, Officers were speaking with the female fiance when Moore erupted out of the room he was hiding in and charged officers swinging his arm as if he had knife.

Moore caused injury to one officer by striking the officers hand and drawing blood.

Moore was taken into custody after a brief struggle and was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500.00 bail.

Moore will be arraigned on January 17th in Windsor County Criminal Court.



Attempting to Elude

Investigating Officer: Officer Defelice
Case Number: 16SF008473
date of Offense: December 29, 2016

DEFENDANT: Courtney M. Griffin, 25, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 12/29/2016 at approximately 00:00 hours, officers of the Springfield Police Department responded to the area of Foster Ave. for a report of a suspicious van with a loud exhaust.

Upon arriving to the immediate area, officers attempted to stop a motor vehicle matching the description.

The operator was identified as Courtney M. Griffin. Griffin allegedly was attempting to elude police. Griffin was subsequently arrested for the alleged offence and issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on February 14, 2017 .       



Disturbing the Peace by Phone

Case Number: 16SF008397
Date of Arrest: January 7, 2017

DEFENDANT: Russell Blair, 59, Cavendish, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: on 12/25/2016 Officers responded to a residence for a report of threats being made. The victims advised that Russell Blair had allegedly threatened to shoot them.

On 01/07/2017, Russell turned himself into the Springfield Police Department.

Russell was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace by Telephone to appear on February 28, 2017 in Windsor County Criminal Court. Russell was processed and released.




1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault

Investigating Officer: Officer Defelice
Case Number: 17SF000247
Date of Incident: January 12, 2017

DEFENDANT: Andrew Hayes, 20, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 12, 2017 at approximately 1130 hours Officers of the Springfield Police Department received a report of an assault. At approximately 1200 hours Officers went to the address of 69 River Street for further investigation.

Andrew Hayes had allegedly assaulted and kept the victim from leaving his residence.

Hayes was arrested and lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail on the alleged offenses.

Investigating Officer: Officer Neily
Case Number: 17SF000107
Date of Arrest: January 6, 2017

DEFENDANTS: Matthew "TJ" Tait, 21, Springfield, VT
Kayla Phillips, 25, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Springfield Police were dispatched to White St. for a reported citizen dispute.

Upon investigation Matthew "TJ" Tait and Kayla Philips were taken into custody for alleged disorderly conduct and noise in the nighttime.

Tait and Philips were cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court to answer to the alleged charges on February 28, 2017.

Case Number: 17SF000004
Date of Arrest: January 1, 2017

DEFENDANT: Bradley Goodrich, 18, Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers were called to a report of a vehicle off the road. Upon locating the vehicle, the operator was identified as Bradley Goodrich. Investigation revealed that he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Goodrich was processed and released on citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on February 14, 2017.




Arrest on Warrant

Date of Arrest: January 1, 2017

DEFENDANT: Shane Murphy, 33, Newport, NH

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 01/01/2017, Shane Murphy was arrested on an active warrant out of Windsor County. Shane was transported to the Springfield Police Department where he was processed. Shane was then lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility without issue in lieu of $500.00 bail.

Attempting to Elude

Investigating Officer: Officer Deslauriers
Case Number: 17SF000022
Date of Arrest: January 1, 2017

DEFENDANT: Christopher Black, 30, Springfield, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers were asked to respond to a residence for a report that an allegedly intoxicated male was harassing the resident. Prior to arrival it was reported that the male may have left in a vehicle.

The vehicle was located traveling on a public roadway a short distance away. The vehicle allegedly did not stop when an officer activated emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle eventually stopped at a residence where the operator was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and attempting to elude.

Black was released on citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on January 17, 2017






The following subjects are looking to be IDed in reference to a fraud complaint in which it is alleged subjects allegedly passed a check written on a closed account that belonged to another person and obtained groceries.
