2017 Annual Town Meeting


The Annual Town and Town School District Meeting begins Monday, March 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m at the Springfield High School Cafeteria and is then adjourned to the Riverside Middle School Gymnasium on March 7, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for ballot box voting.

Election Day voter registration law went into effect January 1, 2017.  You may register to vote on Election Day at the polls and then proceed to vote on that day.  You may also register to vote any time at the Town Clerk’s office or online https://www.mvp.sec.state.vt.us

Absentee Ballots for the Annual Town and Town School District Meeting to be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, will be available at the Springfield Town Clerk’s Office by Wednesday, February 15, 2017.  If you wish to vote by absentee ballot, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office as soon as possible in person, in writing, by phone, email or request your ballots online at https://www.mvp.sec.state.vt.us and we will send your ballots once they arrive. If you prefer, you may come in to the office to vote after February 15, 2017.  The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Monday, March 6, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.  All voted absentee ballots must be received by the Town Clerk by the close of polls, 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. 
The polls are located at Riverside Middle School gymnasium and will open on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.    

All town offices, including the Town Clerk’s office, will be open during Annual Town and Town School District Meeting on March 7, 2017.
