SRDC announces staff promotions

Springfield Regional Development Corporation Executive Director Bob Flint announced that two long-time SRDC employees have been promoted to new positions. Heather Hartford now serves as SRDC’s Assistant Director and Paul Kowalski has been named the Senior Project Manager.

Hartford is a native of Springfield and has been with SRDC since 2014. In her role as a Project Manager, she has overseen the construction of the new Blake Hill Preserves facility in Windsor, the recent renovations to the Robert S. Jones Industrial Center in Springfield and is coordinating the redevelopment of the former Bryant Grinder property.

Kowalski has been a Project Manager for SRDC since 2013. He administered the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Relief program that provided assistance to businesses that were impacted by Tropical Storm Irene. Currently, Paul is working with Windsor Improvement Corporation on a variety of projects in that community.

  1. Heather, what are the plans on the development of the bryant property?

  2. Change the name! This organization is a joke and no help to Springfield. Business as usual Bob Flint!

    1. Spot on. What have they done except collect their salaries. There are more empty stores and buildings than ever before.

    2. Bob Flint joins any group that he can draw a salary and not produce any results in return. Can I get a rebate on any tax monies I've put in please...

  3. One only needs to look to the CEDA industrial park, Claremont's River Road, or all the new businesses in Walpole to put perspective on what an abysmal failure SRDC is. Our Main Street is a collection of empty store fronts. Industrial property is all but worthless. Yet SRDC continues to pocket tens of thousands in grant monies while banking our future on lactating stations and packing rutabagas. The pain, the pain.

    1. So now SRDC is responsible for the state of NH offering tax credits to businesses? For state business tax climate, NH is the 7th best in this 2017 ranking and VT was 47th... Montpelier hasn't made the job any easier.

  4. Essentially, yes. SRDC is the butt boy for Vermont's liberal politicians that engineered this economic climate. I have yet to hear SRDC speak up at a Rotary Club meeting or legislative breakfast and hold our State Senators feet to the fire. Things here just go from bad to worse.
