  1. Hey tough guy, why aren't you on the football team. And during school you should be studying for a legal career in Sales and Marketing. Seems you are practicing, but in the wrong field(s).

  2. I may be mistaken, but isn't dealing heroin during school hours result in detention? Or, is this just considered a learning experience due to bad choices?

  3. I don't like the idea of this punk being allowed to go back to the high school. I know this didnt happen on school grounds but he obviously carries a knife with him, which is against school policy..NO weapons allowed on school property. So, he meets up with a known druggie, before school, something went wrong, he pulls a knife, stabs the druggie then turns around and goes to school like nothing happened? Not calling the police or ambulance...nothing. IF it was self defense, why wouldnt he call the police? I highly doubt it was self defense. The punk looks like hes a healthy 17 yr old. The druggie looks like a much older, weaker man. This kid could of easily knocked him out in one punch! AND the hospital said if he got hit with a bat as he claimed, he would have more severe injuries.

  5. What ever happened to the "You Raise 'Em, We Cage 'Em" attitude for tough guys like this punk? Home with Momma supervising? She has already failed that parental obligation.

  6. Ma-li-liki is a poor spelling of Malachi. Right there, steee-ri-ke! One! Second, where’s Dad? No mention. Mom made poor choices and here’s where we are: taxpayers having to pay for Mal-icky’s bad decisions.

Pretending these are someone else's problems won't make them go away.

    1. But they indeed are someone else's problems, but rubes like you are so deep into denial and the government's pockets that you can't bring yourself to admit it.

  9. wow all you people are so quick to judge and all the tough guy talk from the keyboard warriors, it must be so nice to be perfect, why don't you wait until all the facts have came out and see if they prove he is guilty, before you all hang him, it's attitudes like yours that makes people not want to live in this town

    1. And........here come his friends/family to defend him! First of all, it is NOT people like us who make people not want to live here! Its people like this punk, who is out making drug deals and stabbing people before going to school like nothing happened! IF you do not want to be JUDGED, then dont do something that will put you in the position of being judged! Pretty simple isnt it? There is nothing to this story that points to this kid being the good kid everyone says he is. He was meeting with a known druggie before 7am on a weekday, the kid carries a knife in his pocket, I am sure he would of carried it to school that day if he didnt stab someone with it. Isnt it against school policy to carry ANY weapon on school grounds? Hmmmm, seem like this kid thinks he can do whatever he wants and nothing will happen to him. Time for a wake up call! He should be sitting in jail, not set free to mommy, who obviously has no control over her kid. AND he gets to go back to school. If I had kids in that school, I would be pretty pissed off!!

    2. Exactly. I’m sure he’s a “Dindu nuffin”. An innocent little lamb who was just trying to buy some smack who got all stabby.

    3. Knives don't kill (at least not often), but Heroin does kill, and often. How much of that (might) have he brought into school?

  10. It's amazing that no one is mentioning the obvious... Merritt was considered a 'victim' when he openly admitted to attempting to buy heroin from a MINOR....yet, he's a victim?? SMFH.... This Man should be charged as well. Speaking of minors...under law, isn't his identity to stay anonymous? Just wondering. Not condoning such actions but this is an example of 'Guilty until Proven Innocent'. Listen to both stories. What had truly happened was Maliki was intending to sell heroin to Chris Merritt, but Merritt was trying to Rob Maliki. They both got into a shuffle and the knife came out. End of story. There shouldn't only be one person facing charges here.

Like George W. Bush's legal problem with cocaine use, it will be interesting to see what either of the two learn from this experience.

  12. Chris Merritt is a drug addict who was clearly jonesing for his next fixed and attempted to Rob the dude. Merritt has been heard around town bragging that he tried robbing dude and he's walking away, scotch free. Why are we protecting the addicts? Throw his butt in jail where he belongs....
