  1. Woohoo! Springfield is hitting the bigtime! A major publication like U.S. News covering the drunkeness and stupidity here!

The article clearly states the man is from northern Vermont, and drove "10 miles" on the interstate before the accident. He just happened to crash in Springfield instead of before hand. How about you give praise to the officers for catching him instead of shitting on the town?

    1. You're right, 4:03, Springfield is the absolute pinnacle of sobriety and intelligence. That's why companies are coming here in droves, and downtown is a veritable cornucopia of culture and prosperity! (This is where you tell my sober,
college educated ass to get out of YOUR town.)

    2. The prosperity, sobriety or intelligence of Springfield has nothing to do with the fact the driver is from Richmond but crashed on the interstate within the Springfield town limits.
I'm not surprised a "college educated" individual can't separate the two. Anything to further the negative image of MY hometown, right?

    3. Anon 8:04, no please stay, "your sober, college educated ass" is clearly helping my hometown. Sincerely, Another Sober College Education resident!

  4. Everyone should look on the bright side here - he was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock and not Springfield.
