Video: U. S. War Plan - Destroy 7 countries in 5 years

Confirmed by retired 4-star U.S. Army General Wesley Clark who was Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces during the Kosovo war, 1997 - 2000.

The full original one hour 2007 interview with Wesley Clark (both video and transcript) is online at this link:   www.democracynow.org

In the 2017 interview below, British independent journalist Tom Duggan speaks out about the alleged Chemical Weapon attack in Idlib on the previous day and the series of NATO and Gulf state terrorist attacks, targeting civilians in Damascus, that go unreported by NATO aligned media outlets in the west. The dehumanization of Syrian lives continues unabated, while the evidence produced by Al Qaeda civil defense, the White Helmets is accepted as gospel without query or investigation. Watch ~

Congressman Peter Welch (D-Vermont) co-sponsored the Stop Arming Terrorists Act bill introduced by Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii). See Welch video here: springfieldvt.blogspot.com/search?q=syria

SOME GOOD FACTS ABOUT SYRIA

• The Assad family belongs to the tolerant Islam of Alawid orientation.

• Syrian women have the same rights as men to study, health and education.

• Syria women are not forced to wear the burqa. The Sharia (Islamic law) is unconstitutional.

• Syria is the only Arab country with a secular constitution and does not tolerate Islamic extremist movements.

• Roughly 10% of the Syrian population belongs to one of the many Christian denominations, all fully integrated in Syrian political and social life.

• In other Arab countries the Christian population is less than 1% due to sustained hostility.

• Syria has banned genetically modified (GMO) seeds, stating his decision was made in order “to preserve human health,”

• Syria has an opening to Western society and culture like no other Arab country.

• Its media and universities openly debate the global power elite’s influence in things. This means that they fully grasp the fact that real power in the West lies not in the White House but rather with the complex and powerful grid of elite think-tanks and central banks.

• Throughout history there have been five popes of Syrian origin. Religious tolerance is unique in the area.

• Prior to the current civil war, Syria was one of the only peaceful countries in the area, having avoided major wars or internal conflicts.

• Syria was the only country that admitted Iraqi refugees without any social, political or religious discrimination.

• Following a massive oil find in Syria's Golan Heights, occupied by Israel since 1967, Netanyahu asked Obama to recognize its annexation of the territory. To consolidate its hold, plans are afoot to quadruple Israeli settler numbers to 100,000.

And the most two important points:

• Syria is one of the only countries in the Middle East without debts to the International Monetary Fund ( Pre-invasion Libya & Iran the only others )

• Syria is the only Mediterranean country which remains the owner of its oil company, with an oil reserve of 2,500 million barrels, the operation of which has avoided privatization and is reserved exclusively for state-owned enterprises.

So now ask yourself, why are we truly attempting to overthrow yet another government? What are we hoping to fix here?

Video: On June 8, 2017, the brutal dictator paid a visit to "Made in Syria" exhibition in Damascus. While Assad walked around the shopping complex without security guards, Syrians didn't miss the chance in taking selfies with him.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, journalist and author Nir Rosen, said: "We might not like to think that but authoritarian regimes sometimes have popular support.

"In the whole of the Arab countries, certainly the Syrian regime has the largest base of popular support and much of the country still supports him [Assad].

"Not only Alawite and the Christian community, but even Sunni Bourgeoisie in Damascus and Aleppo support President Assad."

"They may be afraid of the unknown, or the civil war, or they may genuinely believe that Assad has done good stuff for the country."

  1. Assad did "good stuff" for his country? That's like giving Hitler a pass on the Holocaust for building the Autobahn!

Russia has basically won in Syria and is another step closer to having unhindered naval access to the Mediterranean. This is the price we pay for trusting the Electoral College to do its job properly.

  3. "Basically" won, really? draw some more lines in the sand. Perhaps if we elect you Chuck Gregory for president all drugs will be legalized, guns banned, you'll fix wall street, modify the first amendment to your liking, do away with the second amendment. You'll implement record high minimum wage. Free everything for everyone, and life will be good on earth. What freaking planet do you live on? Your becoming the joke in Springfield. I only read your blogs for a laugh and entertainment as do most.

Chuck's voice is valuable here. His points are always supported by reasoning and data, his perspective is a humane one, he never posts offensively to others, and in putting his name out there he's willing to stand up for what he says. He takes a lot of flak for what he posts but he doesn't let it deter him. I disagree fairly often with his positions, but they're almost always worth at least thinking about. Without his voice this blog would be significantly less interesting place. Keep posting, Chuck.

    2. Agree with you, Philip. Some of the comments against Chuck are so disgustingly offensive and disrespectful. Everyone is entitled to their opinion....because Chuck's may not jive with yours, doesn't mean it's wrong or not factual. I'd put my money on him before some of you rednecks who spout erroneous "facts" and misinformation. You make yourselves look foolish and uninformed.

    3. Yeah, unless he's talking drugs or guns, I usually agree with him. He IS smarter than the rednecks around here, no doubt!

Writer, casino bartender, NGO consultant and hemispheric traveler Joe Pageant was appalled at how life had treated all the childhood friends he'd left behind in Winchester, Virginia when he married at 16 (to a 15-year-old), joined the Army and subsequently went to college and left the state. He retired to his hometown and met the aging adult wreckage of the kids he'd grown up with. He wrote a book about it, "Deer Hunting with Jesus."

If you think you're a redneck or that you know a redneck, do a reality check by reading the book. Perhaps the worst thing about being a redneck is that you don't know you're being treated like one.

    1. I've known quite a few rednecks, including a guy who mowed his yard and found a car; TRUE STORY! The problem I have with them is how people with ANY amount of money, education, or anything else they lack, are treated like absolute garbage BY them. I enjoyed no special privilege; I joined the Army after dropping out of high school, as many of them do. I never harbored any ill will toward rural conservatives; I was truly shocked to discover how much they hated me! Over time, after decades of being maligned, scapegoated, and ripped off by them, I finally came to the conclusion that there was just no way to like them, or trust them. My opinion is that white, rural conservatives have largely earned the contempt that many have of them. They have certainly earned mine!

It's a fallacy to project the attributes of a few individuals onto a large group of unknown people. That's the basis of prejudice. The two-party system thrives on and encourages it. So does the internet, where people immerse themselves in what they want to believe and thereby reinforce their prejudices. It is more realistic, by far, to assume there is no such thing as a redneck, or a liberal, or a conservative, or any such label. Those words pretend to paint everyone with manifold tiny details while using a great broad brush.

    3. "If you label me, you negate me?" The problem nowadays is there are far too many people wearing those labels with pride. In this modern age of rabid tribalism, the open-mindedness that you speak of has largely vanished, as has my patience. It's not just a few individuals, it's MILLIONS of them, all conforming to an ideology that embraces all the negatives you have just described. I'm not a cultural relativist; at some point one must make judgements, or wander forever in the desert of confusion, being victimized by obvious predators. Labels are nothing more than a description of characteristics. If the jackboot fits, wear it. Unless you think there were "good people on both sides" at Charlottesville. Lack of good JUDGEMENT can get you in trouble, very quickly. Label me a cynic, if you like, but I've been proven right more often than wrong.
