Springfielders weigh in on Comtu Cascade Park plans

With the help of professional architects and planners, people of Springfield are working toward a new kind of Main Street milieu, complete with a riverside park area progressing from the existing Comtu Cascade Park along the Black River behind what is known as the old Springfield Bakery building.

  1. Obvious idea. Glad people are working to make it real.

  2. Another ideal magnet to attract idlers and loiterers to the town center. Will they be installing a telescope for visitors to treat themselves to a close-up view of the derelict Parks and Woolson eyesore directly across the river? At a quarter per view, the town ought to really be able to increase its return on investment and lower the tax rate for its abused taxpayers! Another piece of parks and recreational genius by the purveyors of perpetual poverty, your town's incompetent leaders.
