Sinai #3 of Montpelier, is Kristi Morris and his wife Sharon of Springfield, at his installation ceremony on January 16. Kristi Morris, a lifelong resident of Springfield, was installed as Potentate of Mt. Sinai Shriner's #3 in Montpelier on January 16. Mt. Sinai is one of two Shrine Centers located in Vermont and one of 191 throughout North America that support 22 hospitals providing care for children. Shriner's Hospitals for Children is an international health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to the age of 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate are eligible for admission and receive all care in a family-centered environment with no financial obligation to patients or families. Morris is a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge #41, Skitchewaug Chapter #25, Springfield Council #18 and Holy Cross Commandry #12. He is also an active member of the Springfield Fire Department and currently holds office with the Springfield Select board having been elected in 2008. He is the President for the Vermont Football Officials Association and still enjoys officiating high school football games. He is a member of the Board of Governor's for the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Football Game played in August of each year and is a member of Springfield Elks Lodge #1560. Mt. Sinai Shriner's belong to the Northeast Shrine Association that includes 15 Shrine Centers from New England and the eastern Provinces of Canada. Sinai Joe's Clown Unit where he rides his three-wheeled ATV in local parades. The clown unit attends approximately 20 parades and events each year throughout the region from spring to fall.
