New downtown restaurant opens

The ribbon cutting for Hole In The Hill Bar and Grill took place Monday.

The restaurant is next to the Springfield Theater where Penelope's/McKinleys was located for so many years. John and Sheri Keefe are the owners of the new establishment.

  1. Recently visited this restaurant/bar. It's good if you want to sit and watch the game, food is OK, not great. Service is OK. If you're looking for a place to go with friends, have a drink and some laughs....head to KJ's. Much better atmosphere.

  2. Have been stopping in every time I return to New York from New Hampshire. Great burgers and onion rings. Good luck Sheri. Hope to bring my Biker Club through when the good weather returns.

  3. Everything in the Hole in the Hill is homemade and the ingredients used to make it are fresh. They're menu has a variety of different things, you can get a good burger, or a good plate of taco salad. The workers are very nice. The cooks work so hard and are very flexible. If you want something specifically done, they will go above and beyond to do it. There are 7 TV Screens in the Hole in the Hill. 2 located behind the bar, 4 in the back where the booths are located, and 1 above the fire place behind the wall in front of the entrance, wherever you sit in the hole in the hill, you have a view of a TV to watch a sporting event. Sheri does a great job of making sure the place runs smoothly and the customers are happy. 5/5

  5. Dude, THE BARTENDER ( also owners son )

    Is a ROCK STAR !!!!

No seriously, "Jibba the Gent" is the Best local musician currently performing in public.

His style as a rapper is similar to Eminem, he really hits the Pop-genre with perfect accuracy.

The FIRST time I heard his songs, I realized how catchy they are, I was actually singing the chorus and having fun. THE FIRST TIME I HEARD HIM !!!

Don't believe me? Go stop in at The Hole and order a "Jibbito" (a self created perfect gin drink) yummy :)

YEAH SPRINGFIELD !!!!!!!! FUN AGAIN !!!!!!
