Published December 5, 2010 in the Rutland Herald Rollover collision leads to airlift By ERIC FRANCIS CORRESPONDENT HARTLAND — A Springfield man was airlifted off Interstate 91 Friday evening in critical condition with what firefighters described as severe injuries, but no information was available Saturday on what became of him. John Hoyt, 40, was thrown from his Dodge pickup after he lost control and it rolled over multiple times across the median and into the oncoming lanes. Hoyt’s truck was then hit by a Chevy Malibu driven by Kimberly Dolloff, 20, of Springfield, who could not stop in time, state police said. Dolloff was not hurt, but her car was totaled, police said. Officials at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., which airlifted Hoyt, said Saturday afternoon that they could give no information on him, including whether he was at the hospital, citing confidentiality laws. Vermont state police said Saturday they are investigating and that they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which occurred about 6 p.m. at mile marker 65. http://www.rutlandherald.com/article/20101205/NEWS02/712059886
