Willow Farm Food Drive a Success
The Springfield Family Center would like to thank Deb Ryan and Willow Farm for holding a food drive for the Family Center food shelf during their Grand Opening celebration on Saturday January 28th. The event raised $86 for the food shelf and brought in 20 boxes of food! Thank you to all the community members who came in and showed support for Willow Farm and made a donation to the Family Center.
On Saturday, February 12th, the Springfield Lions Club will be hosting a food drive for the Family Center at Shaw’s from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Family Center is in URGENT need of tuna, canned fruit and fruit juice, peanut butter and jelly, and cereal.
With February school vacation right around the corner, the Springfield Family Center is now signing up children in Springfield, ages 3 to 18 who qualify for free or reduced priced lunches, who would like to have a free, nutritious lunch and afternoon snack delivered to them during the week-long school vacation. Recipients must be home at the time of delivery. We do not leave the lunches at the doorstep. To sign up, call Diana at 885-3646 ext. 209 by February 11th.
