Lower speed on Route 10
I feel sorry for the people in Chester because of the bridge detours. It is a pain in the neck putting up with all that.
But has anyone thought of the frustration we people on Route 10 have to put up with? I don’t really think so. Part of Route 10 is 40 mph, and part is 50 mph. The traffic on Route 10 has just about tripled since the start of the bridge construction. I’m sure some of the drivers of these big rigs have not been on Route 10 before. There has been one accident in the past week and a half of two trailer trucks. Good thing no one was hurt.
I do think that while the construction of these two bridges is going on the speed limit on Route 10 could be lowered to 40 mph all the way from Gassetts. But will it happen? I don’t think so. I know deadlines have to be met when deliveries have to be made, but I think it’s better to be safe than end up in a bad wreck.
