14 minutes of video highlights from yesterday's Springfield High School alumni parade which also celebrated the 250th birthday of Springfield. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNOxYpW93_w
The video's creator withdrew it due to negative comments he received. That's unfortunate because the video was so well shot and edited. To those who feel a need to use the internet to criticize, please consider limiting such attacks to people who have done something much worse than film a parade.
This video's creator is tired of being shunned or attacked by the community he has decided to contribute to (referred to as "the poster boy for all that is wrong with springfield vermont"), but is over it and gives up, the video is public again, and he will move on to victimize other subjects so as not to intrude on Springfield, Vermont, Jewel of the Upper Valley.
Ed, I wonder if you have any footage you didn't include in your parade video. In particular, do you have any shots of the class of '66 float? It had tombstones and honored businesses that were operating when we grew up with.
I for one really appreciate all your efforts. Please don't cave in to the negative voices. If we are going to rebuild this community your contributions are essential. Ignore the naysayers! They don't build; they just tear down. Keep pushing to help this community. In the end, we all benefit from being reminded through images of the good things this town has to offer. Hang in there!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe he got negative comments.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed it before it went private. We missed the parade and loved seeing the film of it.
Everyone has to be a critic!
