Ron Paul for President

Ron Paul won 22.9 percent of the vote in the NH Primary statewide, and was the top vote getter in several working class towns including Claremont, Charlestown, Canaan, Piermont, Grafton, Orange, Dorchester and Croydon. He also did well in the North Country, winning Berlin and all of Coos County. How will he do in Vermont?

The Amazingly Prophetic Ron Paul

Congressman Ron Paul's famous predictions speech from 2002 (5 minutes). He's not psychic, but Ron Paul understands the principles of CAUSE and EFFECT as well as ACTION and REACTION... which he applies to project a probable end result. As you can see, Ron Paul is amazingly accurate and prescient, but more than anything, he is LOGICAL. It is the most amazing talent that we should want all politicians, ESPECIALLY a President to have.

  1. Is this a presidential candidate endorsement from Springfield VT News blog? Or will you be showing similar videos of other republican candidates?

  2. wth? I didn't realize this was a political blog. This has NOTHING to do specifically with Springfield. NOTHING. You are going down a dangerous path- both with this nut job (yes, Ron Paul is a nutter) and by taking such a political stance- not good. Not good at all.

    3. I agree- Ron Paul is a total nutter and extremely dangerous. The only reason he wants to get rid of big government is to make way for big corporations to make big profits. He's all for 'small government' until it comes to women's health. Wake up people!

I can agree with you on one point-- Ron Paul is dangerous (to war profiteers). But why do the big corporations prefer giving money to the other candidates? You would think at least a few would be forward-thinking enough to want to help this movement grow faster if this type of change would really benefit large corporations more than the present system.

Voters who want wars, torture, assassinations, “humanitarian” bombings in oil rich countries, indefinite detentions, drone attacks that kill the innocent, erosion of civil liberties, domestic war on the people (drug war), out-of-control debt and spending, graft and greed, crony capitalism, pandering to special interests, bailouts, more of the same, must NOT vote for Ron Paul.

Voters who want peace, a humane foreign policy, restoration of civil liberties, an end to the war on drugs, sound money, balanced budgets, honesty, integrity and transparency in government, and a President wholly committed to Constitutional government can vote for Ron Paul.

To me, it doesn't seem that difficult a choice.

    5. RON PAUL IS A NUT3/6/12, 3:21 PM

If you think Ron Paul is some kind of savior, you are just as nuts as he is. Look below the surface- he wants to control Women's bodies.

How can you preach 'small government' and then proceed to promote policies that invade the most intimate details of a person????
      He is far from honest.

He is a racist, fear-mongering hater. It may not be on foreign soil, but you can bet he isn't beyond having people and the planet suffer from misuse and abuse.

Yeah, if you think corporations, with no regard for anything but profit, can protect you and your rights, he's the right candidate. If you are sane and competent to read more than hype, you'll know what lies beneath this sheepskin.

  5. SPRINGFIELD VERMONT NEWS has no problem with staying free of bias in regards to local politics. Nothing that happens in Springfield will lead to World War III or a nationwide economic collapse. But it is tempting to try a little bit to increase readers awareness about what could lie ahead if national politics continues the way it has been with both major parties. Come back and read this comment in 2013 and you may better understand why some of us had these concerns.at this time.

SPRINGFIELD VERMONT NEWS is only willing to support and promote politicians who are uncorrupted by big money interests. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are two notable examples. Sadly, politicians who aspire to stay pure nowadays seem to be considered strange by the majority and not worthy of being taken seriously.

  6. I have visited this blog for the last time. It was a good idea until this. Report the news, events and even sports and we're all happy. But now you have injected bias, we can get this crap on the TV. You are right that it all can and will effect Springfield after 2013, it will also effect the country as well. That is why we get it shoved down our throats on the 24 hr news channels. As the norm in Springfield, we or someone finds a way to blow a good thing.

  8. Wow the liberals in this town sure get offended!!

Wahhh cry over a FREE to read blog. You pay for MSNBC, CNN, CBS and all the other liberal media that brain washed you already.

I'm sure if they put an Obama thing up you would hold this blog up on a pedestal! Like Admin said, in a few years you will look back on this and say "you know what? they were right"

I'm not so sure about Ron Paul, but I do like his ideas. ALL of you complain about how welfare recipients get the deal of the day. Yet you still keep voting in the socialist that WANT you to be on welfare so the Gov't can hold it over your head (Bernie, Shumlin etc..). Get educated and listen to people that aren't Democrats and see that they are about making YOU a better person by EARNING a better life!

  12. I don't intend to stop visiting this blog. It is helpful, however, to know that its creator(s) do not mind injecting personal political bias. This is what free speech is all about, but everyone should educate themselves about what they are reading, who is creating it, and what kinds of biases the creator may have. It is our responsibility to know what we are reading/watching. Turning a blind-eye to the "opposition" (whoever that may be) is never a good choice. If we are to move past the political morass we are currently in, we need to be open and educate ourselves!

  15. re: "top vote getter in several working class towns including Claremont,"

Key words being "working class." Bernie and his protégé, Alice Emmons have made a successful career appealing to an ever increasing population of parasites here in VT. Hence, someone like Ron Paul that supports those of us that fuel what's left of this economy stands little chance.

I'm content to let the Dems take the election and be at the reigns when the economy totally collapses. Then, watch those have relied for hand outs starve. Its happened before. It will happen again.

Oh, funny how the libs are the first to invoke free speach, are also the first to deny others an alternate opinion.
