DMV worker faces charge
May 19,2012
SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield Department of Motor Vehicles employee was charged Friday with making false statements on a registration and title application.
Jacki Gosselin, 46, of North Springfield, is on paid administrative leave, pending the state’s investigation. According to the Vermont DMV Investigations Unit, Gosselin was suspected of signing a vehicle owner’s name during the registration and title process. The incident took place at the Springfield DMV office on March 30, Lt. Mary McIntyre of the Vermont DMV Investigations Unit said.
If convicted, Gosselin faces up to $5,000 in fines and five years in prison.
She will be arraigned at criminal court in White River Junction on June 26.
Gosselin has worked for the DMV for six years and supervised the Springfield and Bennington offices for two years, according to McIntyre.
I am beginning to wonder if everyone in Springfield are criminally minded. WoW!

DeleteErroneous.
DeleteLearn the facts before you judge, not everything you read is true. People are falsely accused and then have their good name slanderized in articles like this. Jacki is one of the good guys that deals with the many scumbags that reside in springfild BELLOWSFALLS and surround areas. It is so sad that someone is being accused for a crime they did not committ is this an inside job of a set up?
ReplyDeletewell if she is falsely accused then she has nothing to worry about other than that she deserves what she gets
DeleteThe REAL crime at the DMV is that tacky EXPENSIVE paint job on their trucks. Every time I see one I think "Wonder how much that cost me!"
ReplyDeleteJacki is a great person, she has helped me out a few times and was always pleasant to deal with. I hope it is just a mistake and she will be back to work soon.
ReplyDeleteI'd be "pleasant" too.....if I was stuffing my britches with cash.
DeleteI am sure she has illegally helped alot of people out white collar scum
DeleteI think people should get there facts straight before they judge people. There have been many lies and the truth will come out. Jacki is a good person and the people that know the real story understand what this is all about. We hope to see her back in this office real soon
ReplyDeleteI agree "White Collar Trailer Trash Scum"
ReplyDeleteWhen you think about government employees, consider which you'd rather have-- reasonably well-paid ones (which means higher taxes!) or Texas-level-paid employees, who are tempted to graft in order to feed the family. Vermont is fortunate to have good employees who work by the book. It would have been easy for a supervisor to overlook something like this for, say, a $10 bill. But that's not the way government should operate-- and in Vermont, it doesn't, because we pay our workers well.
ReplyDeleteFull disclosure: I was a state employee. At the height of my earning years, every man, woman and child was taxed less than 7 cents per year to pay me.
This article is from May, 2012. Is this person still on "paid administrative leave"? Any updates??????
