Men moving deer off NH road struck, 1 dead AP / November 17, 2012 Boston.com CHARLESTOWN, N.H. (AP) — Police say two men trying to move a deer that had been struck off a highway were hit by another car, and one of the men has died. Officials say 17-year-old Adam Pysz, of Newport, died Friday from injuries he sustained when he was hit by a car driven by 24-year-old Benjamin Watkins of Springfield, Vt. Police say Watkins swerved on Route 12 to avoid a van that was stopped in the northbound lane, struck Pysz and 32-year-old David Cummings, of Claremont, who were moving a deer off the roadway. The two men had been riding in the stopped van. Pysz and Cummings were taken to Valley Regional Hospital with serious injuries. Pysz later died as a result of his injuries. Cummings was later transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. There was no immediate word on Cummings’ condition. Police say it doesn’t appear that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, which is still being investigated.end of story marker
