Wedding of the Year

Springfield's first lady of town government Stephanie Gibson has married Kyle Thompson of Springfield.

The couple tied the knot at an outdoor ceremony held at Hingston's Cherry Hill Farm in Springfield on Saturday, June 22nd. Many of the couple's friends and family members were in attendance to witness the happy event.

Gibson, the only pretty member of the Springfield Select Board, was elected to the Board by the voters in 2010. She is also currently the executive director of the Springfield Family Center and is involved in several other community organizations. Stephanie is the daughter of Bob and Jeri Gibson. Born and raised in Springfield, Stephanie graduated from Springfield High School in 2003.

Kyle Thompson is the son of Dave and Holly Thompson. He was born in Hartland, Vermont and graduated from Springfield High School in 2004. Kyle is employed as a Ceremics Technician at Ivek Corporation and plays for the Black River Rugby Club.

Stephanie and Kyle met through a mutual friend in June, 2004. They quickly realized they had many common interests and became close friends.
