On Friday, Feb. 14, each veteran will receive a valentine on their dinner tray. Some of the messages include: "Hope you can see your kids. You are cool. Q: What did the ocean say to the other ocean? A: Sea you later. - Dylan, a fourth grader." Another fourth grader wrote, "Happy Valentines day! You are the best! Thank you so much for serving our country. We wish you the best of luck. I am very proud of you, from Connor.” Madalein wrote, "A special poem just for you! Chocolate is neat and sweet and so are YOU!" Many of the students compared veterans to "super hero's."
