SAPA TV 15 year Celebration and Annual Meeting Submitted by VT Journal on Tue, 08/26/2014 - 3:34pm By DONNA ALLEN The Shopper SPRINGFIELD, VT - SAPA TV will be celebrating their 15th anniversary - imagine that!! Fifteen years of covering local events in our three service towns of Chester, Springfield and Weathersfield. How many employees, producers and board members have contributed to the programming and running of the local Public Access Television Station? How many new cameras, microphones, computers, and other equipment has the station purchased to keep up with the ever-changing broadcast equipment? Join SAPA TV as they celebrate 15 years of Community Access Television. Enjoy great food and the company of fellow community members as they recognize SAPA TV producers and local community members who support and give back to the community through public access television. SAPA TV will be holding the event at the Unitarian Universalist Church on 21 Fairground Road in Springfield, Vermont on September 18, 2014 at 5 p.m. Mark your Calendar. Dinner and socializing will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 6 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs and side dishes will be provided by Jake’s South Street Market. Cota & Cota is providing a grill for the event. At 6 p.m. SAPA TV will be holding their Annual Meeting as well as presenting awards to SAPA TV volunteers and producers. All the wonderful shows will have had a chance at an award, but only the very best will receive them. During this meeting the President, Treasurer and Director will give annual reports and share SAPA TV plans and goals for the upcoming year. There will be awards presented to volunteers, staff and producers in appreciation of all their hard work and community service. The election of SAPA TV board members also takes place during the annual meeting. This meeting and celebration is open to all community members. No RSVP is necessary, but is certainly appreciated. (802-885-6248) It is a time of transition. SAPA has new broadcast equipment, and a new Executive Director, Jared Gunnell. Bruce Johnson retired as of January 1, 2014 after being the Executive Director for 13 years. So come to the SAPA TV Annual Meeting and Celebration to renew old acquaintances and meet new friends.
