Windsor breezes past Springfield in field hockey
FIELD HOCKEY

WINDSOR — The Yellow Jackets took no chances with a Springfield team that held them to a 2-0 deision early this season. That game was played on a slower fied in Springfield but on Wednesday Ashleay Wilcox and Haley Wood ran wild on a fast home field.
Wilcox had two goals and three assists and Wood two goals and four assists for the 4-1 Yellow Jackets.
Katey Comstock and Karen Fan scored their first career vasrity goals. Goalie Emma Saucier, and Comstock, who played the net in the second half, did not touch the ball while Springfield’s Anna Parker had six saves.
Windsor had 13 penalty corners to four for the Cosmos.
Windsor will face a sterner test on Friday when the Jacks host Rutland High School as part of Homecoming Weekend festivities.
