SPRINGFIELD — "Hearts of Hope 2014," is a project sponsored by Springfield Medical Care Systems and the Volunteers of Springfield Hospital. Please join them in remembering a loved one, a friend, a co-worker or someone battling cancer now in a very special way with a personalized, handmade ornament. When you make a contribution of $10 or more, an ornament will be placed on a holiday tree at Springfield Hospital. All funds will go toward the purchase of items for the support and comfort of patients at the Springfield Hospital Oncology Clinic. On Monday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m., there will be a tree dedication ceremony in the cafeteria at Springfield Hospital, 25 Ridgewood Road in Springfield. Refreshments will be provided. For all donations received by Nov. 21, the name of your honoree will be included in the program. You may also pick up your ornament at the ceremony. Beginning Dec. 2, the tree will be on display at Springfield Hospital in the Level C Lobby just beyond the main entrance and the Information Desk. If you are unable to attend the dedication ceremony Dec. 1, you may stop by the hospital between Dec. 2 and Dec. 30 to pick up your ornament. Contribution forms will also be available at the Information Desk and Oncology Clinic at Springfield Hospital, at Rockingham Medical Group in Bellows Falls, Ludlow Health Center in Ludlow, Chester Family Medicine in Chester, Springfield Health Center in Springfield and Charlestown Family Medicine in Charlestown.
