Stolen artwork recovered

This $2,600.00 piece of art that was swiped off the wall of the exhibit Fibrations at the Great Hall in Springfield was recovered in Newport NH.

On Monday evening Springfield police posted a surveillance video online. The police said the couple in the video showed an interest in the piece prior to it going missing and asked for help with identification. It was the surveillance video that lead to finding the quilted artwork on Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
