59th Annual Apple Blossom Cotillion Underway Posted on 1/30/2015 The 59th Apple Blossom Cotillion is more than three months away, but the hard work for its participants began on Sunday, January 4th, at Riverside Gymnasium in Springfield and will continue every Sunday until the big night on May 2nd. 20 high school senior girls, their chosen escorts, and the same number of elementary school couples and their parents first learned about this year’s Cotillion and then began rehearsals. The theme this year is “Totally 80s” and the show will feature music from that distinctive decade of American music. The high school senior girls who will be competing for the title of 2015 Apple Blossom Queen are: From Springfield High School: Maygan Daly, Rachel Hawkins, Brooke Holl, Cassandra Howe, Alyssa Lucius, Chelsea McAllister, Ryeleigh McCarthy Clark, Melissa Morin, Corrina Nichols, Nicole Patterson, Jordan Phelps, Alexis Roldan, Bryne-Marie Sidney, Kaitlyn Stokarski, Ashley Vandenburgh, Madisyn Watson, and Blair Crowley. From Green Mountain Union High School: Breanna Vittum. From Stevens High School: Mariah Carroll, Anissa Girard. Pam Church Shaughnessy is the Administrative Director of this year’s production and Kyla Beardsley White is Artistic Director. The assistant director is Carrie Patch Jewell. Larry Kraft will be the event’s master of ceremonies for the 15th consecutive year. The Apple Blossom Cotillion is a fundraiser for Springfield Hospital and Springfield Medical Care Systems. The proceeds from this popular evening of community entertainment provide support for the Dr. E. Sherburne Lovell Health Career Award and health care for the community.
