  2. Why is everybody blaming her for getting a retirement financial package.
She deserves being considered for "Citizen of the Year" just like anyone else.
People need to cut her some slack!

    1. Was she not aware that the employees of HCRS did not receive a raise last year?

  6. Don Bishop won last year and as far as I know the don't allow anyone to be citizen of the year two times in a row. However you could vote for him and see what happens.

  7. When is Homer Simpson finally going to win? I mean, really, if Springfield is so proud of being his hometown, then why don't they show it in a meaningful way with his recognition as Citizen of the Year?

  8. Rumor has it that if Homer Simpson doesn't win the award this year he is going to take his family to another town named Springfield.
This is frightening news and every citizen in Springfield,Vt should be concerned.
To loose such an outstanding family as the Simpsons would be very detrimental to the Master Plan as it stands now.
A vote for the Homer is a vote for the future of Springfield!
One other thing, Crusty the Clown, Chief Wiggum and Mayor Quimby are going to follow the Simpsons if they leave. I wonder if all the Simpson characters will also go with them. There won't be anyone left to run the town.
