Arrest on Warrant
June 5

Jessica Duling of Springfield was arrested on an active Windsor County Warrant for failing to appear for arraignment on June 2nd to answer to the charge of Disorderly Conduct - Fight.

Duling was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail



Arrest on Warrant
June 5/6

Michael Farnsworth of Springfield was arrested on an active Windsor County Warrant for failing to appear for arraignment on June 2nd to answer to the charge of Vehicle Operation - License Suspended.

Farnsworth was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $1000 bail

Retail Theft

Sean Lowden
AGE: 28
Springfield VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On April 14, 2015 at approximately 0307 hours a man wearing a grey Orlando sweatshirt, allegedly stole a 30 pack of Bud Light from the Circle K Truck Stop. The subject allegedly grabbed the 30 pack and ran out the front door. A person in the store witnessed the alleged crime and called the police. The alleged thief was later identified as Sean Lowden.

A Citation to appear was issued for Windsor County Criminal Court on July 21, 2015.

Possession of Marijuana

Charles J. Manby
AGE: 23
S. Royalton, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Springfield Police, as part of the Windsor County Click it or Ticket Task Force/conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 14 in the Town of Sharon. Upon investigation, Charles J. Manby was cited into Windsor Superior Court-Criminal Division for alledged possession of marijuana greater then 2 ounces.

A Citation to appear was issued for Windsor County Criminal Court on July 28, 2015.



May 15, 2015

Operating After Suspension or Revocation

Philip Protas
AGE: 47
Springfield, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 05/04/2015 at approximately 1720 hours an officer observed a vehicle traveling on Park Street. The officer recognized the alleged operator as Philip Protas, who from previous law enforcement encounters, the officer knew that his privilege to drive in Vermont was criminally suspended.

Protas was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 7th.

Domestic Assault

Brett James Smith
AGE: 30
Springfield, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Springfield Police were dispatched to Valley St. in Springfield, VT for a report of a family fight. Upon investigation, Brett James Smith was cited into Windsor Superior Court-Criminal Division for alleged domestic assault.

Smith appeared in Windsor County Criminal Court on June 2nd for arraignment.

Petit Larceny

Female Juvenile

Chester, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to a report of a three females in the lower parking lot of 100 Mineral Street, who were allegedly stealing license plates from vehicles. The females were hollered at by a citizen and they left in teal colored car with no plates. Officers located a teal colored car with no plates. The female juvenile allegedly confessed to her actions.

Female Juvenile cited to appear in Windsor County Family Court on July 6th, 2015.
