Schoff joins school board as student representative By NANCY A. CAVANAUGH | Jul 01, 2015 Share on print Share on facebook Share on tumblr Share on twitter More Sharing Services 0 SPRINGFIELD — At the Springfield School Board meeting on June 29, the board welcomed Ericka Schoff as the new student representative. Schoff, an incoming junior, joins fellow student representative Ryan Cooney, an incoming senior. Schoff is also on the Management Team at the high school and had served on the search committee for the new athletic director for Springfield High School. “Ericka had keen insight and provided a student voice and adult perspective,” said Zach McLaughlin, superintendent. “She was great addition.” Jeanice Garfield, chair of the school board, welcomed Schoff and commented on the importance of student representatives to the board and all the students. “The student voice is very important. It is important to get feedback from the other students,” she said. “In the freshmen essays we found that they have a lot on their mind and would like to be heard." Student representatives do not vote but are there to share the views of the students and get a better understanding of how the school boards work and what they do. They are encouraged to ask questions and share their perspective.
Welcome to a year of corruption Erika, the school board and team is a joke. They have no concern for the students of this district, only their personal agenda. Zach Mclaughlin is a typical politician and will shun anyone who opposes his opinion. Don't believe me? Ask the last 3 football coaches, coach Brown and any teacher that is no longer within the school.
ReplyDeleteAll but one of those coaches needed to go. But what does that have to do with anything. Maybe you should step up and make a difference. Wait. That would mean you would have to turn off your Xbox.
DeleteCongrats, Ericka. You will be great at this.
Look at you, trying, and likely failing (probably a common theme for you), to corrupt a young student with your little diatribe. 'Don't believe me'.....yeah, a real shocker....I'm sure if she even reads this, she will be like 'whaaa????' - as if you just dropped the hammer on something no one has ever heard before; WHINING.
