Woman accused of drug possession September 15,2015 Woman accused of drug possession WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — A Springfield woman accused of Medicaid fraud now faces a drug possession charge. Jessica Wood, 38, pleaded innocent to the charge Friday and was released on conditions requiring her to see a drug and alcohol counselor. Springfield Police Officer Anthony Moriglioni said in his affidavit he spotted Wood walking in downtown Springfield on July 1 hours after an arrest warrant had been issued for failure to appear in court. After being told she would be thoroughly searched by a female guard at the Springfield prison, the affidavit said, Wood asked to be brought back to the police station where she turned over two small baggies containing bath salts she’d been concealing in her body. In May, Wood pleaded innocent to three felony counts alleging that she and Angela Martin, 34, who has denied the same charges, netted a total of $13,715 in false Medicaid claims.
