WHITE RIVER JCT. — The Hurricanes rolled to a 4-0 victory over Springfield at the Maxfield complex on Monday in girls soccer action to hike their record to 3-1.
The Cosmos fell to 1-3.
Hartford was powered by Sarah Jones and Rachel Seaver. Jones had two goals and an assist and Seaver had a goal along with three assists.
Ileana Sirois notched her first varsity goal.
Turning in the shutout in net was Christine Miller.
“We are playing well. It’s a solid group of girls,” Hartford coach Jeff Acker said.
Now, comes one of those measuring sticks in the form of a road game against Harwood on Wednesday.
“That will be a nice test for us,” Acker said. “They were in the (Division II) finals last year. It should be a good challenge. I think they are one of the three or four best teams in Division II. It will be good for us to play one of the top tier northern teams.”
Harwood is also 3-1, with its lone loss coming to Division I Colchester.
