The play started when Cali Wadsworth sent the ball into play. Erin Cairns took the hit and transitioned the pass to Cydeny Jeffrey at the top of the circle. Jeffrey then fired on goal, where Gras deflected the shot into the back of the goal. “We feel that we are really peaking at just the right time,” Burr and Burton coach Barb Miceli said. “The girls are ready and excited to head into the postseason next week.” Molly Dingley had two saves for Burr and Burton, while Aunna Parker was a bit busier, collecting 16 saves for Springfield. “We had good passing and a lot of pressure on goal,” Miceli said. “Parker did a great job in net for the Cosmos, stopping 16 of our 17 shots on goal.” Burr and Burton finishes the season at 8-3-2. Springfield falls to 4-6-3.
