Published January 19, 2016 in the Rutland Herald Pig alert issued in Springfield Staff Report SPRINGFIELD — Are you missing your pig? Springfield Police Department wants all area farmers to count their pigs. The police department received a report Sunday of a pig running loose near Bridge Street and Commonwealth Avenue, and the police department on social media urged the pork owner to come and get his or her critter. Springfield Police Lt. Mark Fountain said Monday morning that there hadn’t been any new sightings of the pig since Sunday, but, he said, the police department would be involved. He said if a dog were running loose, the police department would respond. Likewise, the police department would be involved to prevent any public safety or nuisance. He said “If a horse was loose, we would try and catch it,” he said. Coincidentally, he said, a brindle dog was running loose near the Black River south of the police department Sunday afternoon on Clinton Street and Charlestown Road, and the dog, which is from Weathersfield Bow, swam across the river to the Commonwealth Avenue neighborhood and then disappeared. Anyone with any information about either the pig or dog is asked to call the Springfield Police Department at 885-2113. http://www.rutlandherald.com/article/20160119/NEWS02/160119481

Don't pigs go feral if left for two years in the wild?

It is sad...very sad... but the people that are bashing the cops on this are correct for doing so...i truly believe that the cops of Rhode Island started this whole mess this country is in today...it started in May of 1996 and i say New York should go after Rhode Island for 9/11.
