BURLINGTON — Vermont Birth to Five has awarded $318,000 in grants to six agencies in Vermont through the Expanding Strengthening Families to Family Child Care Project.
This project, now in its second of three years, is designed to increase the positive impact that family child care providers can make in the lives of the children in their care, as well as their families.
The grantees include: Umbrella, Inc. in St. Johnsbury, Lamoille Family Center in Morrisville, Child Care Resource in Williston, Springfield Area Parent Child Center in Springfield as fiscal agent for Suzy’s Little Peanuts, Sunrise Family Resource Center in Bennington, and Northwest Counseling and Support Services in St. Albans.
The Strengthening Families project is based on research from the Center for the Study of Social Policy.
