Springfield Alumni Day Parade Sat Jun 18th 10:30am - 11:30am VT-11, Springfield, VT 05156, USA map 62nd Annual Springfield High School Alumni Day Parade The parade starts promptly at 10:30 on Clinton Street thru Main Street and ending at Riverside Middle School. The theme for this year's parade is Vacation Destinations – Let’s hope the class floats give us all some good suggestions. We have the Alumni King and Queen, Scholarships recipients, Apple Blossom Queen, court and escorts, Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Citizen of the year, Business of the Year, Senior Citizen of the year and more, that will be riding in nice convertibles that have been donated for use by area alumni and businesses. There will be lots of bands, clowns, much more. Remember the bucket brigade……please give generously. All money is used for expenses of the parade, general running of the association and scholarships. That isn’t the end of the party. Come to Riverside Middle School and join the fun. There will be baseball games, soccer games, and we hope to have vendors with “yummy” fair food, and more. If you are a vendor and want to sell your products please contact the alumni association. Final judging of the floats and annual meeting at 1:00pm with awarding of the float winners and 50/50 winner to be drawn. We also will be electing trustees for the expiring terms. We have at least three openings for trustees with various terms of service. Are you interested??? We need hardworking, dedicated alumnus. We are volunteers that work as a team for the betterment of the alumni association. Even if you don’t want to be a trustee but are willing to help behind the scenes please step forward. Now is the time I ask for your help…We need volunteers to help (to name a few), sell popcorn/water, walk the route for the bucket brigade, and sell raffle tickets. We do not expect anyone to spend all day doing any of these tasks. Having lots of volunteers means lots of work gets done and everyone has a chance to have fun. If you can help in any way give me a call and I will explain what is needed. Volunteers DO NOT have to be alumnus to help the association. As mentioned above there will be 50/50 tickets for sale…$5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. Half goes to the winner and the other to the association for expenses.
