John Megown Von Bargen, 70, of North Springfield, passed away from lung cancer on Monday, July 4, 2016, at 2:50 a.m. at his home surrounded by his family. Ira Emerson. Jr Patricia A. Callahan Michael Richard Mike Pence Patricia Ann “Buff” Callahan, 69, of Claremont, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at Elmwood Center in Claremont, N.H. She was born May 18, 1947, in Randolph, Vt., the daughter of Dr. Frederic J. and Mary Jeanne (Callahan) Guilmette. She graduated from Springfield High School, class of 1965. She later attended secretarial school in Putney, Vt., and Berkeley Secretarial School in New York. She worked as a volunteer for the Department of Human Services in New York and for the Vista Volunteer network. She worked as a secretary for her father’s medical practice. She later worked designing and remodeling old homes in the Brattleboro area. She lived in Springfield, Vt., Brattleboro, Vt., Newport, N.H., and most recently Claremont. She enjoyed design, remodeling and interior decorating. She is survived by two sons, Shawn Walsh and Christian Walsh; a sister, Jeanne M. Lee; three brothers, Frederic Guilmette Jr., Stephen Guilmette and Theodore Guilmette; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her former husband, James Walsh. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield. The Rev. Peter Williams, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield. Becker Janet L. Becker, 93, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 4, 1922, in Springfield, the daughter of Erwin and Lillian (Wetherell) Jacobs. She graduated from Springfield High School. She was married to Gerald Becker, who predeceased her. She worked as a clerk and secretary in automotive sales and repair, as well as being a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, walking and her flower gardens. She is survived by a son Terry Becker of Springfield, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Jean Cross, two half-brothers and two half-sisters. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Gerry Piper will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. He was born June 6, 1962, in Springfield, the son of Marcellus Mark and Shirley (Metcalf) Knight. He attended Springfield schools. He married Donna L. Densmore in Perkinsville on Aug. 8, 1987, and they made their home in North Springfield. He was employed as labor foreman with the Rutland Group for several years and most recently was a machinist with Hancor Manufacturing in North Springfield. He enjoyed the outdoors, trampolines, dirt biking and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed doing stone work and spending time at his camp. He is survived by his wife; two daughters Kacey Marie Knight and Kayla Elizabeth Knight; his father, Mark Knight and his wife, Charlene; his mother, Shirley Muther; two brothers Marcellus Knight and Shawn Knight; two sisters Sharon Knight and Darlene Knight; five step-brothers Kevin and Fred Thorburn, and Donald, Geoffrey, and Adam Muther; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kelli Mae Knight, in 2002 and stepfather Brahm Muther in 2013. Memorial contributions may be made for pediatric cancer research to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, D-H/Geisel Office of Development, Office of Gift Recording, One Medical Center Drive, Hinman Box 7070, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001.
