Jeffrey Patterson, 27, of Plainfield, faces charges for being an accomplice to robbery. He was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility as a fugitive from justice. Police have charged Brenden Harriman, 18, of Lebanon with the robbery following an investigation. Further investigation led to the arrest of Jeffrey Patterson, 27, of Plainfield, who was an accomplice to the robbery. Patterson was arrested Tuesday, July 12 in Springfield by the Springfield Police Department, and was subsequently held at the Southern State Correctional Facility as a fugitive from justice. At 6:19 p.m. Sunday, June 19, police responded to Hannaford Supermarket for a reported robbery in the parking lot of the store. “The responding officers learned that the victim had her purse forcibly taken from her while she loaded her recent grocery purchases into her vehicle,” Police Chief Alex Scott said in a news release. The suspect fled west on foot through business parking lots, police said. Harriman was later identified as the suspect and arrested Wednesday, June 22. He was arraigned Thursday, June 23 in the 5th Circuit District Division in Claremont and held on $5,000 cash bail in the Sullivan County House of Corrections in Unity. The Claremont Police Department was aided in the investigation by the Lebanon Police Department, Arrowhead Motors, Dunkin’ Donuts, and store managers at Hannaford Supermarket.
