  1. Another drug dealer, another lenient sentence thanks to prosecutors and judges who not only don't get it, but don't give a damn about the rights and safety of law abiding citizens.

  3. The sad reality of "catch and release" is that it puts criminals back on the streets. The sad reality of "let them rot" is that we all pay for it, to the tune of about $3500 PER DAY, PER CRIMINAL. I once put forth a solution to the heroin epidemic, only to incur "the wrath of Chuck." Face it, if we lock them all up, be prepared for higher taxes.

  4. They should cancel his SSDI...if he's well enough to drive to Bratt to pick up product, then come back to Springfield for "Retail Sales" he can damn sure get a job and stop leeching off taxpayers.

    1. SSDI is an earned benefit, meaning he had to work to get it. It's not welfare! Besides, being a convicted felon, he'll probably lose it.

  5. It costs taxpayers approx. $52,300.00 a year per inmate, not $1,277,500.00 a year. Big difference, just saying.

    1. Really? You Vermonters sure know how to do it cheap! In Illinois it's $3500 per DAY! You should be able to lock up 3.5 times as many criminals, why doesn't it work out that way?
