Disorderly Conduct and Noise in the Nighttime
Case Number: 16SF005253
Investigating Officer: Ofcr. Deslauriers
Date of Arrest: September 6, 2016
Defendant: David Haines, 55, Springfield VT
On 9-5-206 Officers responded to a residence for a report of a neighbor allegedly yelling vulgarities in his apartment.
On initial arrival all appeared quiet however officers were called back to the residence two more times for the same issue.
The occupant refused to come to the door or speak with officers or mental health workers.
A search warrant was granted and officers entered the apartment and took David Haines into custody without incident.
Haines was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $250.00 bail and was arraigned later that day in Windsor County Criminal Court.
Unlawful Trespass
Case Number: 16SF04554
Investigating Officer: Cpl. Gilderdale
Date of Offense: August 28, 2016
Defendants: Steven Quinlan, 24, Springfield, Vermont
Brett Ellis, 18, Springfield VT
Trevor Ovaitte, 19, Springfield VT
Corporal responded to the Springfield Pool for a report of subjects jumping the fence. Above named subjects were allegedly found inside the fenced pool, which was closed at the time.
All 3 subjects were cited into Windsor County Criminal Court on October 18th to answer to the alleged charge of Unlawful Trespass.
Violation Abuse Prevention Order
Case Number: 16SF005024
Investigating Officer: Ofcr. Deslauriers
Date of Arrest: August 29, 2016
Defendant: Rodney Gleason, 58, Springfield VT
The Springfield Police were contacted regarding the victim having allegedly been called by a subject whom he has a restraining order against.
The alleged offender was located and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.
Gleason was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court to answer to the above alleged charge on August 30, 2016.

Date of Arrest: August 15, 2016
Defendant: Marie Gregory, 23, Springfield VT
Police responded to Carley Road for a female allegedly
having a behavioral event. Upon arrival Gregory was arrested for allegedly disorderly conduct and prohibiting access to emergency services.
Gregory was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court to answer to the above alleged charge on September 13, 2016.
Aggravated Disorderly Conduct
Case Number: 16SF003718
Investigating Officer: Cpl. Gilderdale
Date of Arrest: September 12, 2016
Defendant: David Johnson, 42, Weathersfield
On July 18, 2016 Johnson allegedly engaged in a course of conduct directed at a specific person with the intent to cause the person inconvenience, annoyance, and to disturb the person's peace and quiet. He allegedly engaged in threatening behavior and threatened bodily injury and serious bodily injury.
Johnson was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court to answer to the above alleged charge on October 25, 2016.
Johnson is currently incarcerated on probation issues.
DUI
Case Number: 16SF005326
Investigating Officer: Ofcr. Neily
Date of Arrest: September 8, 2016
Defendant: Travis Allen, 28, Westminster, VT
Springfield Police were dispatched to Main St. in Springfield, VT for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon investigation Travis Allen was arrested for alleged DUI.
Allen was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court to answer to the above alleged charge on September 27, 2016.

Case Number: 16SF005388

Date of Arrest: September 9, 2016
Defendant: John Doe, Transient
Springfield Police responded to Main St. in Springfield, VT for a citizen dispute. Upon investigation a male subject who refused to identify himself was taken into custody for alleged Disorderly Conduct and Noise in the Nighttime.
John Doe was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility-Springfield on $1000 cash or surety and held until positively identified. Doe was arraigned on September 12th.
John Doe was positively identified as Jacob Herrington, 31, of Minnesota

Date of Arrest: September 10, 2016
Defendant: Megan Machado, 30 Springfield, Vermont
Machado allegedly left the victim a voicemail and a facebook message with threats of bodily harm.
Machado was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on October 11th to answer to the above alleged charges.
Trafficking Heroin
Case #: 16SF005275
Investigating Officer: Ofcr. Ryan Prince
Date of Incident: September 9, 2016
Defendant: Francesco Escribano, 34, New Jersey
On 09/06/2016 at approximately 1600 hours Officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on the corner of Spring Street and Union Street. The operator of the vehicle was allegedly Francesco Escribano.
Due to suspicious circumstances the K-9 Unit was called and the
K-9 alerted on the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and towed to the Springfield Police Department.
A Search Warrant was granted for the vehicle and approximately 186 bags of suspected heroin along with 2.6 grams of suspected
un-packaged heroin was allegedly located under the front passenger seat.
At this time an Arrest Warrant is being sought for Francesco so that he may answer to the alleged charge of Trafficking Heroin.

Defendant: Chelsea Ovaitte, 21, Springfield

K-9 alerted on the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and towed to the Springfield Police Department.

un-packaged heroin was allegedly located under the front passenger seat.
At this time an Arrest Warrant is being sought for Chelsea so that she may answer to the alleged charge of Trafficking Heroin.
