Why are all of the videos posted on the Springfield Vermont blogspot alt-right propaganda about national
ReplyDeletepolitics?
Because most mainstream media journalists now appear to believe that only Republicans and the right require scrutiny.
DeleteSpringfieldvt.blogspot has a proud history of supporting only the most honest and uncorrupted of presidential candidates -- Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein, etc. even though most in this category have virtually no chance of ever being elected.
The nonpartisan Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) placed Hillary Clinton at the top of its worst ethics violators of 2015 list. www.factdc.org
Actually, FACT is not non-partisan. As Right Wing Watch (http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/leader-of-anti-garland-group-once-demanded-judges-have-a-biblical-view-of-justice/) points out, a “dark-money group connected to a single family of conservative donors” is the funding source behind FACT. This group also is funding the blockade of consideration of Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court vacancy (http://www.rightwingwatch.org/report/the-obstruction-lobby-what-the-outside-groups-working-to-block-a-new-supreme-court-justice-really-want/)
ReplyDeleteThe unnamed “single family of conservative donors” not mentioned by any of the blogs is undoubtedly the Koch Brothers, who funded Whitney Ball’s Donors Trust (the source for funding for FACT and the three others mentioned in a Right Wing Watch piece (http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/leader-of-anti-garland-group-once-demanded-judges-have-a-biblical-view-of-justice/). Donors Trust has funneled some $750 million into right-wing political activity, shielding the donors from public view.
In case you’d like to know: for the Koch brothers to have spent $750 million to warp our Constitutional processes is the financial equivalent of me spending $643. Not that they were the sole donors, and not that it’s provable they spent anything, since to mask their identity is the intent of Donors Trust
For a further examination of the Kochs and Donors Trust, see p. 206 ff., of Jane Mayer’s Dark Money (Doubleday, 2016). The end leaves of the book contain lists of the 134 PAC’s, think tanks and colleges that are subservient to the Kochs. You can be sure to find several of them active already in our campaigns, e.g., American Legislative Exchange Council.
