The 2016 Springfield Senior Center Bazaar was a huge hit again this year. As it is our largest fundraising event of the year, I would like to take a quick moment to say THANK YOU for everyone who donated their time or goodies to the event. I would also like to thank everyone who came and supported us on the day by stopping in and purchasing yummy cookies from the Cookie Walk, homemade goodies from the food table or yummy lunch from our Luncheon Table.
Thank you to the following people who helped chair the different committees and run the booths on the day of the event: Cookie Walk —Linda Wilson, Mary Gray, Pat Graves, Janet Lynds, Gerry Noor; Food Table — Linda Wheeler and Nellie Douglas; Luncheon Table — Linda Haines, Betty Coutermarsh, Betty Perkins and Don Gray; Piano — Bob Mitchell; Welcome Table — Annette Napsey.

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Cribbage Doubles will be starting back up. If you’ve signed up to play for the winter session, please make sure you’re at the center by 9 a.m. to start.
Also on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m., we will be having one of our Fabulous $5 Auctions. Join the Springfield Senior Center as we auction of wrapped items that our members have brought. Each gift that is auctioned off has a value of $5 — if you come to the auction, please bring a wrapped item. All money raised from this event will go toward future entertainment at the senior center.
On Thursday, Dec. 1, the bus for the Home for the Holidays trip will be leaving from the Springfield Senior Center at 8 a.m. sharp. If you are signed up for the trip, please be at the Springfield Senior Center around 7:30 a.m. to get checked in and ready to go on the trip. Looking Ahead: Dec. 7 —Paul Ippolito will be at the center to perform holiday music and popular hits; Dec. 14 — Springfield Senior Songsters will be going their Christmas Performance — join us for a celebration and Christmas Party; Jan. 11 —Mark Shelton, Elvis impersonator and performer, will be here “Rockin’ and Rollin.’”
