As the SHS students sang, children and teachers poured out of their classrooms and into the hallways to listen. Fourth grader, Collin H. said, "Mrs. Rounds you should put them on the intercom so everyone can hear the music." The advice was taken, the singers with their choral director, James Chlebak, prepared themselves to go "live" over the school intercom as they sang; "Good King Wenceslas," "Deck the Halls" and "Shchedryk - Ukranian Carol." Lore Lei B., a 5th grader, later remarked, "My class was having science in the outdoor classroom when we heard the singing all the way up in the woods."
