North Springfield Industrial Park access detour


Villagers living along quiet Main Street in North Springfield will now have to endure the sound of large tractor trailer trucks rolling by all hours of the day and night.

Effective, Thursday, April 27, 2017 for an indefinite period the only truck access to the Industrial Park will be Mill Road and Main Street from Route 106.

Lower County Road, the usual truck access way, will be closed to through traffic, due to failure of the large metal culvert Great Brook passes through.

    Just south of the bridge on Main Street there is a blind corner that becomes dangerous for pedestrians when large trucks are part of the traffic stream. Is that problem being addressed?
